Just realized Claire Underwood was the princess. It should be illegal to consider a remake of this timeless and unique masterpiece. Have fun storming the castle. This was really great! If you're in to logical deduction, you'll get a good laugh when Wallace Shawn's Viccini and "the man in black" engage in a highly entertaining battle of wits. If it's serial killers you like, pay special attention to the character of Count Ruger, a demonic villain obsessed with pain, played to perfection by Christopher Guest. If you're more the heartwarming sentimentality type you'll enjoy the scenes between the narrator, a loving yet undoting grandfather played by Peter Falk and his at-first-bratty but increasingly lovable grandson, played by a prepubescent Fred Savage. If what gets your blood pumping are those "When Animals Attack" specials, you'll be interested in seeing Carey Elwes' character, Westley, battle it out with a Rodent of Unusual Size. If you're like me you'll love it all! If however, you are looking for superficial, big budget special affects, you might have to wait for Schwartzennager's next movie. Yes, all in all I'd have to say with an objective eye that "The Princess Bride" has something for ALMOST everyone. And for all you grinches out there who can't find your niche in this film, let this message "echo in your perfect ears. I hope for your own sake that "some day you might not mind so much...
